The First Moment You Know

The first moment that you think somebody's probably not going to work out, it's unfortunately true that 100% hit rate the person doesn't work out. I've never gotten to that point ever in my career and not later had to let the person go, ever. If you need an escalation beyond those sort of softer curiosity conversations, say you have to really wake them up with a big ultimatum. Some people are so clouded in their vision.
