In 19 51, the freudians had a powerful hold over the o te that wrote and published the first edition of the diagnostic and statistical manual of mental disorders. The resulting diagnoses used by a p and do psychiatrists alike were strongly influenced by freudian theories. Froudian theory was based on the idea of psycho dynamics, or the idea that your behaviors or neuroses, to day based on underlying causes.
