All human beings, for psychological well being and flourishing, require three things. I call these psychological nutrients. We need competency, autonomy and relatedness. All of us do. And if you don't get those things in the real world, you may turn to find them in the virtual world. This can be seen clearly in kids. So when you look at kids lives to day, it's pretty easy to understand why they're not getting enough of these three psychological nutrients.
