I think it's fairly easy to make yourself so particularly in England, where people are so bad at languages. So if you're the one who goes to the front when you all get to Paris and go to the hotel and you're able to say Bonjour, Monsieur, Jai Rezeiv, Dunwee, or Le Catra, that's a bonus. I could have, I could show you goals. But then if you went to a convention, a First World War aircraft convention, you would be the idiot who you've only read one book. That all you've done. And so I think it's fit, but not as good as learning a language
Special Guest Mark Steel joins me to discuss cultural and linguistic differences between the UK and France, plus accents in the UK and a little tour of some places in the UK that you don't know about. Also includes a discussion of swearing and rude language in Britain. What is the R word which you should never say in a specific part of the UK? Listen on to find out.
