The question was never can a modern plant-based meat brand scale in American retail. Most billion dollar food brands, folks, require 40% or more of US households because they need a long tail of infrequent annual consumers to generate this kind of revenue. Yet current research from my friends at the Hartman Group suggests that only about 22% of US households are even in play for plant- based meat. That's awfully tight.
