Film Festivals Are Great Places to Network and Mingle

If you have a script, the chances of you actually getting to pitch it to a producer there are not that great. Look for a place that people would want to go, and then look at who's speaking there. Are they for real? One real person? If they're not exactly the person you need to talk to, well, that's just the one person the director of the film festival happens to know - right?
