Woody is obsessed with getting forky because he's stuck in this role to a service of Bonnie. And the lesson he needs to learn is like, stop worrying about forky. I mean, forky doesn't even want to be a toy. It's kind of like he's trying to capture him and imprison him or something. Well, there's kind of a, uh, beauty pageant type thing going on here. Like if I can get her to love me, then she'll love me. There's more to life than being a child's guardian. Right? The whole story is an exploration of that as it starts out on his boot shot."
