What Does This Mean for Sustainable Development?

The United Nations previously predicted that the world would reach 11.2 billion by the year 2100. But at the current rate, they're predicting the population in 2100 to be just over 10 billion instead. A whopping 61 countries are expected to have their populations actually shrink between 2022 and 2050. What's driving that decline? Economic inequality, lack of food accessibility or clean water, and in some cases governmental restrictions.
