The Journey to Bethlehem and the Prophecy of Micah

In this chapter, they discuss the meaning of Luke verse two, where Luke is writing about a census that took place around four five or six BC under the imperorship of Caesar Augustus. Citizens would travel to their original hometown to register for the census, implying that Joseph's family had ties to Bethlehem. Joseph and Mary decide to make the trip from Nazareth to Bethlehem, about 80 miles, because Joseph is of the family and line of David, and Bethlehem is David's ancestral home. They also mention the prophecy of Micah, which states that a ruler will come forth from Bethlehem.
