The Mechanism Behind Thyroid Hypokalemia in TPP
Excess thyroid hormone causes tachycardia, tremulousness, fevers, diaphoresis. We usually think of it as a hyperactive endocrine abnormality. The mechanism behind thierotoxic periodic paralysis is the hypokalemia. There's very few diseases that will make my stutter activate more than that.
