The Importance of Legalism in Law

In the legal world, uncritical difference to rule-following is sometimes characterized on the rubric of legalism. In its strongest form, legalism becomes an ideology according to which not only should rules be followed, but they should not be questioned or even interpreted beyond their apparent meaning. That code enforces its own execution in a way that laws cannot. And this it's setting up this spectrum where code as executed is even stronger than that.
