What Is the Dark Forest?
The dark forest is this idea from the three body problem of work of fiction that there is a space where merely revealing information gets you totally obliterated. MeV or maximal extractable value refers to this more broad concept of the value that you can extract from transaction ordering. I think MeV is not necessarily good or bad, it's a fact of life and we have to deal with it. Flashbots is about the study of the effect of these permissionless bribes on consensus and on users in the broader network health.
