The soil is one of the richest and most abundant eco systems on earth. It's as diverse and abundant as a coral reef or a rain forest. The bacteria in the soil are superabundant and amazingly diverse. They use the co bin in the soil as a cement, which they stick together all the little mineral particles with to create chambers in which they live. And it's only because of the life that exists in the soil that we exist at all.
