How to Pay for the NHS
NHS must be kept free at the point of use with contributions taken through tax or NI, national insurance, according to the ability to pay. But there's an ideological resistance in the Tory party and a fear in the Labour party of putting up taxes. So how is it going to be paid for and co-payments, if they were to be introduced, would not apply to all?
