Is There a Fear on the Part of the Scientist to Get Involved?
Sally Kohn: I have this nice phrase that Bruno Latour uses, where he talks about animating stories about science. And he says that often, scientific knowledge is deanimated on purpose. When you fold that back, especially if you're one of these people that really resists being told what to do, and you don't like what the climate science has to say, it feels extremely manipulative. It feels manipulative, which scares off, obviously, someone the political right, but it must scare off some scientists as well.
