The Lights Are Off at the Cultural Hall
Isaiah 7:8 describes a headlong rush into iniquity, which seems to suggest that sin has been normalized. Have you ever been in the chapel or the cultural hall when the lights are off at church? It's a little scary. We wait for light, but behold obscurity, for brightness, but we walk in darkness. And then this powerful image, we grope for the wall like the blind. And we stumble at noon day as in the night, we are in desolate places as dead men.
