Is There a Wider Problem for the Democrats in This?
Democrats have lost white working-class voters, and increasingly perhaps losing Hispanic working- class voters. Joe Biden promised he would revive the fortunes of Democrats in these rural areas,. And he won the White House on that premise. The tertiary education split is very interesting. You could say equally that Republicans have given up on people with college degrees.
