The Importance of a Special Needs Trust
There are two primary types of special needs trusts. A third party special needs trust is funded by assets that's owned by someone other than the beneficiary. The trustee, and that probably will be you if it's your child, has a fiduciary duty to act in the best interest of the beneficiary.
