California's wildfires have been getting more intense and more frequent. Rising construction cost in recent years kind of really pushed insurers to the limit. For State Farm and Allstate, it was about leaving a market altogether or at least refusing to offer any new policies. And as changing climate hazards become more embedded in insurance companies, they will need to take decisions accordingly.
