My Mam's Soft Spot

In the last ten years, my mam's health deteriorated. She had issues with her brain stem, brain sists, lung disease and auto immune disorders. But through it all, her spirit remained strong. And she was still a teacher to us. In fact, she had a new batch of students in her grandchildren. Every time we visited, she had books picked out for them. She served dessert with every meal, and she slept them a little cash when i wasn't looking.
