The Difference Between Free Will and Physical Determinism
Even under conditions of perfect determinism and predictability, you feel that what you mean by free will is totally conserved. You're just talking about free people able to live out the consequences of their desires and intentions. That's why this position is called compatibleism. It just says that there's a conflict between physical determinism and free will are an illusion. They're compatible with each other.
