How Are Your Emotions Handled When You Were a Kid?
Getting people too learnhow check in with ourselves is such an intense process, because generally, we all just do our best to avoid what we're feeling. And sometimes that's great, and most of the time it's not, and does us a big diservice. I oftentimes start with having them explore their relationships to their household growing up in terms of their emotions. So how did their parents press their motions? What happened when they expresse their motions? Did they get in trouble? Did they getting punished? Was their screaming? When people begin to kind of reflect back to them as a child and how emotions were treated, they can start to kind of see patterns emerge.
