The City Is the Greatest Human Invention

In two thousand eleven glazer published a book called triumph of the city, how our greatest invention makes us richer, smarter, greener, healthier and happier. He also happens to have grown up in manhattan in the nineteen seventies which might account for a little bit of his optimism about the city's recovery. I think, if the new normal is wave after wave of pandemics, then the city is under a much greater challenge. Almost nothing that we have done as a species is a sol o creation. We collaborate.
