The Functions of a Rain Head in a Tank
Rain head is basically if you imagine a cubic shape with a 45 degree cut off of one aspect of the cube and a screen placed on that 45 degree angle. The stream is typically made out of stainless steel and a lot of the rain heads that come from Australia are made out of PVC but I have seen them made out of metal as well which would probably be a better material. So that rain head then functions as kind of your first macro filter of the water before it hits your tank? Absolutely.
