i will talk a little bit about how i am thinking about the relationship between the universal and the individual. Some of this thinking is coming from ean mc Gilchrist, who wrote a boo called the master and his emissary in two thousand nine. For the romantic mind, by contrast, theory was not something abstracted from experience but present in the act of perception. There was therefore no question of applying theory to life, since phenomena themselves were the source of theory.
