There's an ongoing bipartisan effort in the Senate right now to give the Biden administration the authority to comprehensively address threats posed by technology from foreign adversaries. Senator Mark Warner, who is the chair of the Senate Intelligence Committee, said that the bill would grant Commerce Secretary Gina Ramondo to power it as far as banning tech companies from the following six countries: China, Russia, around North Korea, Venezuela, and Cuba.
