Moral psychology aims to work out why we reach the moral conclusions we reach. Walter Simott Armstrong is a professor of Philosophy and Legal Studies at Dartmouth University. He says it's very difficult to observe people making actual moral decisions because you can't get people to lie and cheat and steal much less kill and rape in the psych lab.
