Is There a Difference Between a T of N and a Special Signature?

In the traditional Bitcoin multi-sig view, it's really not a different if you have an N of N setup or T of N setup. But in like those snore advanced multi-signature or special signature things, there's really a big difference in terms of practicality when it comes to T setup. Like, music, the N of N case, is still pretty simple, whereas in special signatures you can do it. So as you say, it probably makes only sense for use cases that really need it and they say it really need it.
