Is There Institutionalization Within a Party?
i think there's a lot going on institutionalized within the party. A, but i think we definitly were too hasty in thinking that the the succession was going to follow this nice, tidy, am formal procedure. If you want to whether measure whether a party's strong, you have to kind of measure whether it lasts past the first leader. And if we want to measure whether a country's democratic, we look at whether there's been actually orderly transfer of power from one party to another.
