The Role of Ultrasound in Thyroid Nodules

The patient has no family history of endocrine disorders or thyroid cancer. We performed a bedside neck ultrasound, which showed a two-centimeter right thyroid nodule. Based on the gradation of the tie-red's classification, the more highly suspicious the nodule looks. For this patient, the characteristics of the nodule were that it was solid and hypochoic.
