How to Make People Smile on Social Media

You have to first show them that you respect them. Once you do that, once you establish a kind of complicity, then they begin to cut you some slack. Humor is essential to this enterprise. You can do it without it, but a joke always helps a making people smile. It makes them feel good about themselves. I guess you have to be a little bit of a salesman to pitch your point of view in an argument. Then you can get passionate yet when people argue on social media, it's hard to acknowledge the other person as a person because it isn't a person. Or it's just words on a screen, which i imagine is why things can get out of hand
