The Labour Government's Plan to Increase Job Seekers to 90% of the Age Pension

Labour in opposition promised to review the $40 a day rate. The Morrison government increased it by $50 a fortnight. It's obviously come up again this week because the Economic Inclusion Advisory Committee recommended to the government to have a substantial increase to job seeker to 90% of the age pension. We should note that the government has suggested they're not going to enact that recommendation for a substantial increase. That doesn't mean there's not going to be anything for people currently receiving government payments.
