The Work of the Light of the World
In chapter nine, verse four, Jesus gives the mission statement of what it means to be the light of the world. He says we must do the works of him who sent me while it is still day. The work of love is about the confrontation of darkness. It's not just a love that confronts the darkness, it's actually a mandatory mission given by the Father.
