The book is not about blaming parents and caregivers, it's really about understanding what we may have missed out on when we were younger. And so you talk about two sort of key things in early childhood development, attunement and attachment. So an infant just starts crying, has tension in his or her body and just starts crying. And mommy kind of swoops in, mommy or daddy or whoever the caregiver is kind of calms and soos. She uses her voice and her tone and her eye contact and her behavior,.
