Direct Sales Are Superimportant for Small Wineries

A lot of small wineries started out as this 20, 25 thousand case ideal position. But when you do that, you tie yourself into permanent growth. And so they actually scaled back to be at the ten thousand case level. So through trial and error, i think a lot of people have learned now what their goal should be. The first thing getting into the wine business should be how am I going to sell the wine? Not, how am i going to make the grapes or grow the grapes or this have a plan on.
