"It's a very lighthearted, fun game that I think is just, you know, kind of become its own thing and is no longer viewed that way by anyone, including the developers," he said. "I was a kid when it came out too, and it is funny thinking about, to us, we were taking it very seriously and that may have never been the intention on their part." He added: "We're really trying to just get video game historians as close as possible to primary source material ... there's been a lot of sloppy work"
