Sasha Lilly: KPFA was founded out of a very different political conjecture, and yet one that also has some commonalities in that the people who founded KPFA were concerned about how easy it was to mobilize the public to support war. And Against the Grain came on air three weeks before the US invaded Iraq, but there was a long lead up to that invasion and was shaped by and shaped the movements that we've just been describingthat preceded that moment following September 11th.
