I really feel like reconstruction was the most violent period against african americans. It made slavery sort of a different issue. They weren't just trying to kill black people, that black people were propertyd and then they were like, oh, i jus murder them all. But through marauding left over confederate soldiers, which ges, we're gangs of war, gangs, essentialy thi just walked round killing people. That history is just we i think, i think it was so dramatic, we've turned away from it, like we are not, have not examined it properly yet. Ye. Lincoln had a much better plan for reconstruction.
