Emily Chang: The definition of greedflation is that companies are raising their prices because they want to make more profits. She says in the beginning, there was inflation and it wasn't profit seeking on the part of companies. Chang: Now economists are sort of looking at it and trying to figure out how it works. "There might be other less painful solutions out there than raising rates," she says.
