In europe, a person attenpts to do both. In the U.S., they cannot pigeon-hole you as either an opera person or a symphonic person. I must say, i love both kinds of music. The real difference is when you're in the pit and they're moving around, right? And then it's different. Then then theres a different kind of coordination s that if they're just standing in front of a music stand with their music a, just singing it, simila to y symphony.
