The Inseparable Nature of Personal Reputation and Social Justice

How you spend your money matters, your unseen thoughts matter and your proximity or lack thereof to your neediest neighbors matters. Jesus says justice, mercy and faithfulness are more important than Christian minutia. The Old Testament prophets have so much to say about the inseparable nature of personal righteousness and social justice. In Amos Ezekiel and Isaiah Israel is not condemned for oppressing the poor. They are condemned for their passivity to the plight of the poor.
