What Is Religious Duress?
The same essential concept happens in the brain, where a person really starts to struggle of figuring out what exactly are they able versus not able to do. When a person has that religious duress, it leads to the next level, which we call essentially boundary violations. The paradox is how could this religious leader whom I put so much trust and faith in sin when they are the very person teaching me not to sin? That kind of paradox that happens. And because of it, it leads a lot of guilt,. A lot of blaming themselves, sometimes even believing that they're the ones who let the religious leader to sin, right? So that moral confusion that happens is really key here.
