Basic String of Ints as an Inttur?

Ae author points out how handy it is to use a basic string of int, as opposedt like a vector of int. Would you actually use this, like, inreal code, though, or just to play round with? And if i could prove that there is a good reason to do it, then i would like if i knew that in the 99 % case i need a vector like two ints,. which would fall into short string optimization. But sometimes it grows bigger than that. Oh, ye. I would be totally cool with doing a basicstring of ints in that case.
