We have to keep an open mind as to how that very ideal might change into something different. Whatever people in the 25th century would think of as an ideal society, from our point of view, today might in fact be hideous and flabbergasting. That's what utopian thinking is: Try to imagine something better but remember we won't necessarily achieve it. But these ideal visions provide us with guidance, inspiration.
