The Importance of Daniel Scott
It's so hard to kind of articulate what someone like him meant to me. His move into the sort of popular imagination of American life was like kind of amazing. He writes, no country for old men, which almost immediately gets optioned and produced and made by the Coens. Then that film goes on to win multiple Oscars. And then has the screenplay, the counselor that he writes that really Scott makes, which is kind of to me at least a cult classic.
