The Paradox of Hepatitis C
2.4 million people are infected with hepatitis C, and 40% of them have not been tested. Only about a third of the people who have some type of public or private insurance are actually treated. The cost is still in the neighborhood of $20,000 per patient even for somebody on Medicaid where you can try to keep it down.
