Materialism
i would say hegel, in his own way, was a materialist, but it wasn't. And hegel didn't call himself a materialist. So marks is known as a dialectical materialist. There's different ways of spinning this. You'll find in the literature, the theories that we be reading next week. This all comes from mark's particular intervention. As i've said, his his texts are complicated. They they certainly don't conform to any of the stereotypes about marks. Does not mean i agree with him, but what i want to make sure that we do when we're encountering marks and trying to understand marks, is that we're letting the text speak.
