The Role of Stability in Sustainable Development
Plato was interested in stability, what he would have thought of as the stability of individual dispositions that reinforce a social order and don't undermine it. That model has to be built now into our understanding today of sustainability - but there are some details about Plato's vision that I think are antiquated beyond repair. It's like if we were thinking of baking bread: most kinds of bread require yeast.
