Is Laziness Overrated?

I am a big fan of purity. If you're already bought into wanting some sort of async abstraction, like promise or future or whatever, it's not really a significant amount more work in my experience to say, okay, now that's the only way to do it. You have no concept of synchronous effects,. which arguably is annoying because now sometimes you want to do an effect and you have to change the type. And so at that point, you're down to sort of mutation. So I definitely with you on laziness, I think it's definitely overrated. Even though it's not as highly rated as it once was or as hyped as itonce was, I still
