The Judge's Remitter Remittor

The jury awarded one percent of Tesla's profit to a single man. It was the largest verdict in the history of racial discrimination and the history of the country, for one person. The judge took it out on tessl againd and said they were entitled to a new trial because their conduct had been so outside legal boundaries. He then reduced the amount down under a doctrine called remitter remittor that only works if the plaintiff accepts its substitution. If he doesn't accept her number, there will be a new trial.
